We believe in the power of handmade. Taking care of every detail - from the design process to the creation of objects and jewellery in our studio. Adding thoughtful touches and taking care of our community are essential pillars of what we do. We all leave a mark on the world, make it a good one.
Laboratory:Our road has taken many turns and we have no reason (or desire) to believe that life will ever be a straight line. We don't believe in the ordinary. We observe, we test, we take leaps of faith. And if we fail, we try again.

Hello! I'm Victoria - the hands, the heart and the mind behind Hand Laboratory.
I am an artist and arts administrator currently enjoying life in Edmonton, Canada. How I ended up here is kind of a long story but I have always tried to follow "that gut feeling". My roots take me back to Mexico City, where I was born and raised - and then Calgary, where I lived for 10 years and graduated from the Alberta College of Art + Design with a Bachelors of Fine Art specializing in jewellery and metals. I also lived in Barcelona, where I fell in love with the sea and my life partner.
Over the past 10 years, I have built a career in the arts and I continue to develop a relationship with craft. Hand Laboratory is my passion project and the way I celebrate craftsmanship, adventure, materiality, and beauty.
